If you think that a degree will help you earn a lot of money, then you were deceived. Many, many people earn a lot of money that have never set foot in college - look at the many entertainers there are. People who are in sales make the most money of all, and you don't necessarily need a degree for that. Hopefully, you earned a degree to better yourself and educate yourself. There is nothing like higher education to move yourself to a higher level of cognitive thinking than what most people who do not go to college aspire to on their own.

BS Double Major in Computer Science and Applied Math AND
Information Science and Policy

I graduated December 2001 - a semester early
Summa *** Laude
No job for a year then I competed with the computer geeks recently laid off after 9/11 and since they always had the experience i didn't have - nothing for another year
at that point i was two years without my hands on the computers (or at least new computers)
two years out of the computer world and i know nothing - new grads know more - so i was screwed

in conclusion, I am an Insurance broker.

lol - it censors "*** Laude"

I have found that, at many jobs, I'm over-educated with too little work experience to make the big bucks. After I first graduated, I had a heck of a time finding a job for this very reason.

I guess the big thing is putting time in somewhere to even out the amount of education with the amount of work experience we have. Now that I've been out of school for 2 years, I'm in a much better job than when I first graduated. It takes time, but the money will (hopefully) be there soon!

Omg tell me about it. I have the four year degree and my boyfriend dropped out. Who do you think is making more money?? It's good to have but it's not very helpful I don't think until you have some experience behind ya. I just a got a job as a head teacher today, making less than I make now, but I hate my current job.

Well, its hard to have money and pay off your student loans. Not to mention the fact that we are on war economy status, the average working slob has never made money in this scenario.
