Around my pond area(out my diningroom window),I can watch bluejays, wrens,,juncos.morning doves, euraisian doves, goldfinch, cardinals, indigo blue buntings, pidgeons, house finches, crows, hawks, redwing ,blackbirds, starlings, robins ,sparrows, downy woodpeckers, brown thrashers red headed woodpeckers, pine siskins, ringnecked pheasant, barnowls, nuthatches, barnswallows, hummingbirds (varieties),cowbirds, house finches, rose breasted grosbeaks, and the list goes on and on.I put out 10 feeders, (of different sizes, and types),I have several birdbaths also(raised, and ones on the ground),I also go through, on an average, about 50# of songbird food a week,I do manage to save a little by making my own suet(but it is sometimes difficult to keep up),I also put out three woodpecker bars a week,so it can get kind of spendy, but I find it worth every penny.

To get a good description on the kinds of birds as well as other wildlife, reptiles, plants and trees in your area go to www.nationalgeagraphic.com select animals from the left and put in your zip code on the page that comes up.
