I do and get permanent straighteners...They are awesome!I use the CHI brand...my clients love it!There is no damage done to your hair! The only way it can mess it up is if you have put a straightener on it that contains sodium hydroxide. The two act like nair! But other than that its a wonderful investment...I charge $75/hour...and it takes on average 3 to 31/2 hours..im in Louisiana...Good Luck Honey!!

I had it done, do not get this done.. damages your hair beyond belief. By yourself a GOOD flat iron. My straightening procedure cost me $700.00!!!!!! It totally fried my hair. You have been warned. Either work with your curls or get a Paul Mitchell flat iron or a solia iron, which you can purchase on line at FOLICA.COM. That is just my opinion, wouldn't want you to go through what I went through. I wound up having to CHOP off all my hair. Thank God it is healthy again, even though it is short (chin length bob). Save your self the money and the aggravation of having this done to your hair!! It is not as popular as it was because of all the negative feed back this procedure has gotten. If you have any questions email me. maryann1804@aol.com.

you can do it yourself for about $7. all you do is buy an at-home perm (do not buy the cheapest perm on the market chose one that is conditioning)mix the solution together in a glass and comb it continuously for 10-15 through you hair---then shampoo.

Don't do it...when it begins to grow out the roots of your hair are going to be wavy and the rest of your hair straight...it looks silly. Also one day you are going to want to wear it wavy or curly to a dance or somthing...not going to happen if you get it straightened. Plus it KILLS your hair!
