u should gradily let ur dog outside a couple hours like u are because if u rush it the dog will not know what is going on. u should also watch how much he is scratching when u let the dog outside :)

those people are ignorant to a dogs needs and care about not something more effective than what they choose. What sturdy is a canines on your backyard 24/7? i imagine that's cruel and persons like that should not be allowed to own dogs! No we are not off base in any respect! dogs can't run in a %. like they could in nature, so declaring that they are outdoors animals is basically stupid! What animal is an interior animal? some people do exactly not comprehend that dogs have emotions a lifeless ringer for we do and are notably intelligent. i do not see how in the adventure that they knew how terrible that's for a canines to be on my own always, they could proceed doing it.

it is going to be hard to make a 10 year old dog an outside dog at any time. as far as fleas, you can use frontline once a month. that will guard against fleas and ticks. consider getting an allergy pill from your vet.
good luck

Why did you get a dog if you just want to throw her outside and forget her???? How cruel is that?? She depends on you for love and companionship. You can't just leave her outside alone that sucks. I'd lock my husband outside alone before I'd lock my dog outside!!! She's an old lady and you want to make her miserable with heat and fleas in the summer and cold and rain in the winter. You suck.

You can't make her an outside dog after that long. Let her stay out during the day but let her come back in to sleep at night. She'll miss you guys if you don't.

I second the first opinion. Your dog is old. I'm sorry, but it's true. Now is definitely not the time to just up and decide that she's an outdoor dog. Very harsh indeed.

This is not a good idea at all. Dogs are not "outdoor" dogs unless their family is an "outdoor family." Dogs are pack animals and you, as his family, is his pack and that is where he will want to be. They are family members and should live with the family, not be relegated to the status of a living lawn ornament.

That doesn't make sense...it's up to you but is seems harsh to do a dog like that after 10 years of not living in those conditions.

dogs naturally want to be outside to explore everything they can. tahts there way of marking territory. fleas are more often outside, but it sounds like your dog is still happy. keep on usin taht frontline, and gradually let the hours of letting your dog outside continue. its summertime, tho, so when it gets rly hot let your dog inside.
you can also let it sleep inside; my dog is an outside dog and sleeps inside. she always scratches the door with her front paws when she wants to come inside. once your dog knows that you will still let it in, it will learn to let u know when it wants to go wehre.

see how she adapts if she likes it out there so be it or maybe just let her stay out most of the day and let her in at night or something but as far as the fleas as the one person said get the stuff for fleas and ticks so they dont bother her
