To get an idea how the U.S be without illegal immigrants?
I am not even Mexican, and I am not illegal but I am latin and I saw this movie like a year ago and found it very comical and true. You people would get all desperate if you didn't had people to pick up the tomatoes you eat, pick up the trash, lose the house maids that take care of your children, lose the guy who fixes your air conditioner, etc etc. All those manual and dirty jobs you hate doing can be done because most of your country is fulled with professionals who refuse to take those jobs.

Why can't you be more appreciative of the people who are only there to work and send some money to their families down there. It's a proven fact they are helping your economy, so shut the hell up. If you have a gang full of cholos in your neighborhood you should consider moving.

and what you plan to do? kill them? you can't do anything else!!!! Only live with them and tolerate them, if you see they are doing illegal things by being illegal deport them but be more considerate.

Or you plan to exterminate them?

There are mexicans who die of heat stroke for picking up the tomatoes you eat, that's unfair.

I appreciate what the Latino community brings to America. I sympathize with the illegals who risk life and limb to come here to find work so they can support their struggling families. As a mother, I can only imagine the fear and desperation of not being able to feed your children or give them proper medical care.

I admire their humility to do whatever it takes to find honest work, unlike others who turn to selling drugs or stealing. Latinos have a great sense of honor and family, too. I do not look down on them, but instead see them as my equals and in many cases, my superiors.

I can't understand why Americans dislike them so much. We should remember our ancestors who faced this same discrimination (Irish, etc.) when they first came to the US. How can people want to shut the borders now that they themselves are safe here, enjoying the abundance of America?

If anything, we should pressure Mexico to get its act together and take care of its own people, true. But I say we accept all hard-working, honest people and toss out the criminals, predators and drug lords who call themselves legal American citizens.

I teach many Latino children, and I am doing my best to instill a good education in their young minds so they can rise up and create their own American dream. They deserve every good thing that this earth and humankind has to offer. Perhaps one of them will have the cure for AIDS or the answer to world poverty...

I'm sure that any of them will be an asset to this world unlike those of those who still have prejudice and other ugly feelings in your hearts.

I say, Welcome, welcome and thank you to all immigrants, legal or not.

I found it comical, yes, but not really true. There are many WHITE Americans that also do those jobs. So that movie is just another step that is being taken towards the change to the Latin States of America.

The Chinese were used to build the transcontinental railroad in the 1800's, yet I don't see them complaining that every sign, notice, policeman, doctor, etc, isn't in Chinese so they can be understood.

Every other immigrant community has tried to assimilate somewhat to our culture, and perhaps add a BIT! But the hispanic population (and I am being VERY general- I KNOW that not all hispanics are the same) doesn't want to learn English (or they enjoy pretending that they don't understand) We are having Spanish crammed down our throats. If I wanted be Spanish speaking, I would take a class, or move to Guatemala, or Mexico or some other Spanish speaking country.

If we didn't have illegals then the welfare system could return to normal. We would be spending less on the health care system. More of the money made would stay in the U.S. because the ones working here would be paying taxes. As far as sending money back home they do so at a rate of about 20 billion dollars a year. Think of all that money going out of the country that is putting food in their stomachs and a roof over their head. What would we do if there were no illegals here to do the quote unwanted jobs what we did in the past our legal citizens would work them. I don't blame people for wanting to come here I blame the money hungry business man for using cheap labor that they don't have to account for. It is time that the corrupt businesses that hire the illegals get hit with major fines. Maybe then we wouldn't have so many illegals and we would have more legal citizens.

OOORRRR, we could stop granting tax free amnesty for illegals while we foot the bill for their free health care and the adoption of felons into this country, use that money to pay better wages to the people who are legally here and do pay taxes USING THEIR OWN LEGITIMATE IDENTITIES (including the legal immigrants who ALSO don't want to pick tomatoes) put the extra tax money into the federal deficit and social security to support those legal citizens who did what they were supposed to do and comitted the crime of growing old instead of letting them rely on meals on wheels and bus trips to Canada to get affordable medication; put criminals BACK on chain gangs and let the non-violent ones pick tomatoes for FREE and pull their own weight FOR ONCE, let the violent ones work self supporting prison farms instead of funding their law degrees and let the leaders of the countries who's people are risking their lives to sneak across a border FIX THEIR OWN CRAPPY COUNTRIES. If you aren't illegal (by the way all illegals are not necessarily Latino in case you lost sight of that) this isn't "our country", it's yours too. It's a "proven fact" that "our" economy needs a much better solution than illegal aliens. Don't get me wrong, I have no problem with immigrants, most of us are or came from immigrants. Just come in through the front door. Legally. If I break into your house and clean your toilet, you do NOT owe me free room and board dude. "Cholos" as a rule does not define hard working Mexican immigrants either. It indicates a murdering drug dealing bottom feeding trashy no class group of gangsters that don't need to be here. So evidently you want law abiding folks to move over and welcome THAT into our country? NOT bloody likely.

The majority of Americans can't afford to hire someone to take care of their kids or mow their lawn. BTW my father mows his own lawn and grows his own vegetables. Illegals aren't the inventors of gardening. We wouldn't need so much food on the market if illegals weren't here.
The reason I can't be appreciative of people who work here and send money to their families in another country is based on simple economics: If the money is not spent here it isn't recirculated here.
There are lot of Americans who fix air conditioners and do manual labor jobs, give me a break!
American construction workers are not able to get decent jobs because of the illegals waiting at the home depots.
Just because you read or see something on a show or movie doesn't mean it's true. Even my 6yr old son knows that.

Thats a bunch of crap. EVEN if we accepted your premise that we are in desperate need of low classed people who will "do the jobs no American will do" (and I don't accept this premise). We could simply increase the amount of people we let into the country LEGALLY! Even though you people want us to believe that the world hates us, it seems nonetheless everyone wants to come here. The problems is not with Mexican's (or any other immigrant country) the problem is ILLEGAL, and the fact that if our borders are not secure we are at risk.

You peopel dont get it. The us would not "suffer" if we didnt have illegal mexicans!!! We would do jsut fine. Illegals are a drain on our economy, i dont like pay for them to be here only to take ALL of the money they make here back to mexico while i have to give mine up to pay for them. If there were a gang full of "cholos" in my neighborhood, I would not be the one to move, thrust me they would be out of there so fast! By the way the guy who fixes my air conditioner is white and speaks english...you know, the language of our country!

We don't NEED them. They do NEED us.'

That is the fact of the matter. They work at only 10% of the farms-don't worry about it the other 90% farms who don't use them will take care of it. And sorry to tell you this-but most of those 90% farms could care less if those farms went out of business permanently.

Your heart may be right-but it is a matter of what is best for the people here. They have a right too you know

thats very true, right now prejudice mfs think they're all that and clever but they don't know what'll come to them when their wishes actually come true.
I will admit that in order to make the USA work, and succeed, and stay strong, we need each other. Otherwise we'll be just like all the other countries in the world.
