A group complained that the names for hurricanes were all 'white' sounding and the forecaasters so prissy. The next time a hurricane was coming the new forecaster said:

Its not okay to call people racist names. And, I don't know any black people who just randomly walk up to white people and call them racist names. As far as the movie, it was just that... a movie. Meant for entertainment purposes only. Not meant as a guideline on how to live your life. And, there are "white" movies who make fun of black culture as well. For example, Malibu's Most Wanted. That movie was basically a parody on hip hop culture. No one had anything to say about that. White comedians joke about blacks, just like blacks joke about whites. Personally, I don't find jokes offensive. Now, we can take this one step further.... Bring it On 2 was produced by Universal Studios. I'm pretty sure black people do not own Universal, so your beef should be with the people who thought that it would be okay to share this so called racism with the rest of the world. Obviously, if it was so racist, it probably wouldn't have been released.

I know what you are saying, and I also know that the way they were saying "white girl" in that movie was intended in a demeaning manner....kinda like how a black man would be offended by a movie where a bunch of white southern types were endlessly repeating "black boy" this and "black boy" that. There is, indeed, a double standard in our society regarding how offensive material is handled when the material is related to race, culture, etc.....but, that being said..... I freakin love South Park, Carlos Mencia, Dave Chapelle, Chris Rock, etc. etc. The comedy is often laced with stereotypical humor related to cultures and classes, but it is funny. I'm proud to be a southern redneck gal, but I still laugh at redneck jokes, regardless of who tells them. I think its good to be able to laugh at ourselves and others, provided it is done in the spirit of humor and understanding rather than insulting bigotry. I know this isn't really what you are talking about with the movie you are referring to....I don't think the script was written with humor in mind....but people of all races should also quit being so sensitive. We should definitely point out the double standard regarding how seemingly offensive material is handled by groups who themselves dish out seemingly offensive material.....but that doesn't mean we should be wear our feelings on our sleeves and let this material actually offend us.

You're an *** for telling those so called jokes, and Jack is an even bigger *** for answering with the same bigotry that you are using. My best friend doesn't have a flat nose, and last time I checked, she was black. Get over the stereotpyes. They mean nothing. Both of you need to visit a modeling agency. I understand your anger as you have most likely had to face racism all your life. But my question is; do you really want to continue the racism or stop it?
To anyone on this board that feel insulted by these jokes; Don't be mad at what he has said, heck some of it is funny and sadly enough some do have a hint of truth to them. How many people here that answered this question with anger has never told a racist joke? How many people know what it is like for cashiers to drop change on the counter because they don't want to touch your hand? Have you ever been stopped by police based solely on you colour? I could go on but I hope people have gotten the point.
I for one will not report this 'question'. This is one mans commentary on life in his own unique way, learn from it!

once there was a smart *** who thought they were funny by making fun of white people, then they realized that their culture and identity were given to him by a system that white people made up (mostly while drunk in the 1800s)... lets take their language and make them worship our jesus, for their own savage good... yer a ****** moron
