I know everybody on this earth has a different or weird fear. My #1 fear is those automatic flushing toilets. I am terrified when they flush on you and there is a chance the toilet will overflow. And the fact, that some of them are very loud and I am afraid of that too. Growing up as a kid, i have always been afraid of toilets and sometimes, i go through extreme measures before i actually use the restroom.

Your thoughts please

My daughter is 6 and terrified of them. We spent several days at airports recently and they all had those toilets. We finally bought a roll of white tape and would cover the sensor so she could go, otherwise she wouldn't. So start carrying tape with you to cover the sensor, band-aids work too.

I don't like them either, I hate to get splashed by a flusing toilet, I like to be standing away from it when it flushes.

Most of them have a button you can push to flush the toilet yourself. Do this before you step away from the toilet and you will at least feel that you are in control of the flush. Then make your getaway quick so it won't flush again when you walk out of the stall. Being in control of the toilet's behavior should help you with your fear.

I used to be scared of toilets when I was a kid. Not as bad as you but I always made sure to pull my pants up before I flushed so I could just walk away. I still do that but now it's more out of habit than anything. As for automatic flushers, I only hate the ones that flush while I'm still sitting on it. Gross, the motion sensor doesn't have to be THAT sensitive, y'know?

The entire world population will opt for flushing toilets because it is a healthy habit as regards hygienic point of view. Your case is little complicated and need to be corrected. Just think that what will happen if you don't clean your house daily and why the houses, gardens, schools, colleges, roads, streets, churches, temples, mosques and all living places are cleaned daily? These places will not be worthy living if not cleaned daily. I am sure you have got the answer to your question by now. Take care and be in good health.

I Can't stand them either. If your busy adjusting something the thing goes off! Or if you put the little wet nappy thing down and have a problem unbuttoning it flushes before you ever get to sit down so you Have to put another toilet paper thingie on its frustrating! Good Question!!!

I hate those things...especially when some idiot leaves the seat down and it flushes when I raise it. Then I have to wait for it to flush (which can be more than just a minor annoyance, especially when I'm in a bind).
