If you're looking for a comprehensive answer to that question, you're going to spending one hell of a lot of time reading because there are hundreds of thousands of prescription drugs. Start specifying or forget it.

They are drugs only obtainable from a doctor via a prescription. I presume this is what you are asking.Or is it ?

A drug is a drug whether its medicinal (prescribed by a doctor etc) or herbal ie from a herbalist or illegal/social drugs.

Drug = substance administered to a person and having an effect on that persons bodily function. hope that helps.
