Back yrs. ago I drank alot, knew it was getting out of hand. I lived out in the country. So, I called the AA hotline for help. A woman called me back,I told her about the drinking and she asked me "do you believe in God?" I said no not really so she said "well I cannot help you." and hung up. I drove when drunk got caught and spent my time and money as I should. Now i think back that if that call had worked out for me, I may never have drank again. Either way is that any way to run a hot line? And for a God fearing person to treat another?

She should have helped you...that was not her place to ask you that in that particular situation. I'm sorry that happened to you

No, it was a terrible thing that she did to you.

Christ told us to love and help all people as He did.

I hope that you will not take that as the way that all Christians act.

Hmmm... if you don't believe in God... why would you do anything that He wanted you to do? You would not listen to anything they had to say once you found out that it is a religious organization...

someplace I read... do not cast your pearls before swine... meaning (in some ways) that you should not waste your time on people who will not listen.

Well, I don't think AA specifies God, just a higher power. Whatever you need the higher power to be, you see? You just got a stupid volunteer.

Good excuse to blame your faults and mistakes on others.

LOL. Did not answer that to offend you personally. Sorry. Don't get drunk because of my bad answer.
