It depends on their diet. Cats who eat predominately dry food will need to drink often. Cats who eat wet food will get more moisture from their food. It is important that cats have free access to water, preferably more than one bowl around the house. Filtered water (without chlorine and fluoride) is better. Change the water often. In a pinch, they will drink from dripping faucets or even toilets.

Cats sometimes go for long periods without water.Usually they drink at least once a day. My cat is funny. She won't drink from a bowl. She likes the water poured into the sink from the tap until she has a nice "pond." Then, and only then, will she take a drink. By the way, if your cat is drinking more than a few times a day, she may be diabetic....get to a vet!

It depends, as in humans, on many factors. Because it is important to keep felines hydrated, I do whatever my cats ask me to. :-) This means turning on faucets in the kitchen and bathrooms when they want a drink. For some reason, they don't like stagnant water from their bowl. Even our outdoor cat will drink from a puddle before drinking from his outdoor bowl. But to be more precise, it seems that my cats eat at 7am, 10am, 6pm, and 10pm; I assume they drink a little bit of water at these times. Great question!

As often as they need/want to. Keep a supply of fresh water out and your cat will take care of itself.

well it depends on if hes a blackout drinker or a binge drinker, either one of those and he will most likely drink only once a day.
however if he is a social drinker, well maybe he will drink four times a day depending on his environment and size, and activity level.
