Be very careful to be too anxious. It is possible for your body to produce hcg (which is what gives the positive result) BEFORE you are truly pregnant--meaning the fertilized egg has successfully implanted, and the uterus has agreed.
Many, many "pregnancies" end in a natural misccarriage--as the egg didn't implant. It's natures' way of saying, not this time. It's called a "blighted ovum."
Before the advent of super sensitive home tests, women would simply be a week late, not realizing they almost had a pregnancy.
Patience is difficult, I know. But you want a REAL answer.

It's not too early as soon as the 2ND day you had sex you can get a blood test to find out of you could or are pregnant or at least that's what my doctor told me and believe me... now my daughter is two years old. with the regular pregnancy test is not always reliable to find out, you could be two or three months pregnant and not showed in the test.

For an over the counter test, you can test as early as a week after but it's more accurate after two weeks.

you can take a test up to 5 days before your missed period, but if you do that you have to make sure you take it in the morning, you will have a more accurate result.

Actually, your body is your enemy, in this, and, you really should ask an RN on the dial a nurse number!
But, I will say 2 weeks, ('cuz that's what is advised on the box!).
If the box is right, will you select me as the BEST ANSWER???
AND name it after me?
