My boyfriend maybe going to jail next week over some really silly traffic tickets. Is it wrong for me to be upset that he doesn't seem to care and is spending all his time with a video game and not with me and the kids? Or at least trying to pull his butt out of it?

he's facing up to a year, and I have really gone off but he just does that "yes dear" crap and tends to blow me off. he's been with the same company for 17 years and I don't know if he just thinks he's going to get off because he's got a job or what but it's really bugging me.

He may be upset and doesn`t wish to express it, so he`s trying to stay away from people he fells closest to. so that the leaving may not be so hard. Try talking to him, about how upset he is making you. Maybe you`ll get an answer about his actions. It`s perfectly normal for you to feel this way!

Absolutely not!! I would feel that way too!! It sounds like your boyfreind might not have a job. If you are living together, which is sounds like you might be, he deffinatley needs to have one. Also, I completely know how your feeling. My boyfreind likes to do other things sometimes too, and I get jellous even though I shouldn't, because he still sees me alot. But you, no you deffinately should be upset. If he cared about you, he would put down that damn video game controller and make you and the kids Dinner for once, and actually eat it with you. I say honestly
DUMP HIM
you can do soooooo much better

You have a real winner there! I must say if that's the case maybe you should move on, without him. He should want to spend time with you all and get his butt out of trouble if he can.

Hold the phone, here. How long is he going to be away? Because if it's only going to be for a day or two, then I think you may be overreacting. But if he's going aways a week or two (or more), then you definitely have a legitimate gripe.

No, not at all it just shows you where his priorities are, I'm sorry if that sounds harsh but its true. Try talking to him and if he doesn't respond to you then believe me he will be regretting not spending time with you when he's sitting in a little cell with buba.
