1 mile is 1760 yards
Which is 1608 metres

1608 divided by 25 is 64.32
so 65 lengths

Although the old "swim a mile" is now "swim 1500 metres" which is shorter - and only 60 lengths

Let us see. I am assuming that you mean a pool that is 25 meters in length, in the direction you will be swimming at.

Using the fact that 1mile=1.609344km

We get that

(1 swim/25 m)(1lap/2swims)(1000m/1km)(1.609344km/1mile)
=32.1868 laps/mile

So I would say a little over 32 laps which are round trip. So 1 swim is just 25 meters and a lap would be 2 swims (50 meters).

Everyone above me has an answer which is off by a factor of 2.
Remember, I am assuming that ONE LAP means going AND coming back. So one lap is 50 meters.

If by a lap, you mean ony one way (25 meters) then multiply my answer by 2.
