secure men are not intimidated by independent women

2006-07-25 11:07:49 · answer #1 · answered by Luis T 3 · 1 0

My ex was very intimidated by me. He used to say that I didn't need him and that I could obviously do everything better on my own and then try and belittle me.

My current husband knows that whilst I do not always need him ie I can change a tyre, pay my own bills and manage without him I do love him very much and want him.

If you find a man secure enough in himself he will embrace your independance as a benefit rather than a negative. Only little boys and men who need to be the stronger partner will be threatened by independent women and who needs men like that?

because these men cannot control independent women. i have one, and believe me, after 24 yrs, shes still just as great and just as independent.

she doesnt tell me how to do my job, iand she doesnt ask me to wash up or hoover. i dont tell her what to wear, or where she can and cannot go. i trust her, and i love her, i dont need to keep her under lock and key to keep her...we're not even married...and weve been together since 1982...

insecure men, and machismo control freaks dont like independent women, generally because theyre smarter, know hwat they want, and get it. they also, IMHO dont take crap from anyone... LL&P
