1 John 2:22 Who is a liar but he that denieth that Jesus is the Christ? He is antichrist, that denieth the Father and the Son.
1 John 4:3 And every spirit that confesseth not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh is not of God: and this is that spirit of antichrist, whereof ye have heard that it should come; and even now already is it in the world.
2 John 1:7 For many deceivers are entered into the world, who confess not that Jesus Christ is come in the flesh. This is a deceiver and an antichrist

Simply put...no. I just had a discussion with someone about this. According to them, the antichrist will rise from the east. The only question I had, was east of what? The bible wasn't written in America, and the principal characters were from the middle east. So wouldn't that imply east of the middle east?
And does it matter? It's all just mythology anyway...

By anti-christ is assume you are referring to the beast of Revelation 13. The term "antichrists" is only in the books of 1 John and 2 John. The number 666 is 616 in some older manuscripts and most likely refers to Caesar Nero. Nero is also the person who had the apostle Paul killed. So the answer to your question is no. The events of Revelation have already taken place. (Rev 1:1,3; etc.)

We are told to watch and listen. He will be rising soon and will have an answer for everything. When this happens, when a man comes along and can do this, this will be him. According to the research he will come from Europe, but hey it wouldn't be surprising if he did come out of the Middle East, after all the research was done by man!

most of the actions of revelations was written in real time (so to speak). The anti-christ is (your right spamandham) Nero. If you apply the ancient numerology of the Jews you will find that Nero's complete name equals up to the triple 6 number. Also if you read the first lines you will find that it starts with "I had a dream". Why worry about the end of the world when it will end in a fiery conflagration when the earth goes into red giant in about 10,000 years.
The bible is more metaphore than actual truth in advertising. Not to mention their original state has been lost due to mans interpretation and rewriting to suit his own beliefs and not what was.

I thought it was the Christians who believed that the 3rd world war, which takes place in the holy land, would bring the Messiah back to life after 100 years of peace in the holy land??? I don't remember anything about the anti-christ.

We simply don't know. Satan doesn't know when everything's gonna happen, so he always has to be ready; therefore the "anti-christ" is already here, and has been here for thousands of years. Of course it's not always the same physical person. The bible tells us that it will be someone that no one is expecting and will rise to power in a very covert way and deceive many. Because of this, I doubt it'll be someone who you'd know of now.

In my opinion, the antichrist will not be able to "rise" until after the rapture of the church. The bible refers to a "hindering force" that is holding back the antichrist being revealed. I have heard pastors say that it is the work of God's spirit within believers on earth that is repressing his coming forth to claim power. I tend to agree.
When the "church" is raptured, it's going to be a free for all down here. I believe the antichrist will having nothing in his way to grab power. I may be wrong, this is merely an opinion.
