It does depend on the length of one's stride, but an average would be between 1,900 to 2,000 steps.

Depends on the length of the stride. Normal seems to be about 30 inches. There are 5280 feet in a stateu mile. Do the math.

Yes. It depends on your height and your leg length. You didn't say if you were in a hurry or at a slow gait. On average a persons step is 2.5 feet. Sometimes more sometimes less. That means you take 5280/2.5 = 2112 steps. Had a question once on this. Interesting question on how many city blocks in a mile.
