Western Union would be out of biz-nass! Who cares! You can't stop this practice, I've already checked into it, but you can make it illegal for illegals to send money by checking them at the counter for citizenship! Kinda like when you buy a hand gun! All monies should be confiscated, and gave to sending Co. to give them a reason to "catch" them! Kinda like a reward!

Save All The Legislation Required For This Endeavor

Just DEPORT Em All
All 20 Million ILLEGAL Aliens

That Will Keep Nearly 39 Billion Dollars
From Being Exported Annually

Remittances Are Mexicos 2nd Largest Cash Crop
2nd Only To Mexicos Oil Export Revenues
Which Total About 60 Billion Annually

Deportation Will Provide
A $$39 Billion Stimulation To OUR Economy ANNUALLY
Who Gives A Flyin SH*IT About
What Happens To Mexicos Economy
Certainly Not Me

If you are referring to a direct transfer, then I suspect that an opportunistic small country or territory, likely the Cayman Islands, would be glad to act as a third-party transfer agent. That is, there's going to be no real way of stop money outflows to one country without imposing broader restrictions. Thus, the effect would be negligible at best.

They only ways that could be done is if Mexico's assests were frozen in America or enforce a trade embargo. You couldn't legally pass a law like that by itself.

You could however reduce their work and home opportunities in an attempt to force them to become legal - by deporting them first and local ordinances second.

The money would still get there because they would find another indirect route and western union would go out of business and all those folks would lose their jobs. such a mess. Perhaps a government tax surcharge tagged to all outgoing money unless a recent pay stub showing taxes were paid by employer.

No alot, most illegals are from Guatemala. Also most of them came her to be safe, they are probably living a better life here. We as a country need to learn to accept that.

That's a great idea. Ever thought about running for Congress? They need all the help they can get.

I kind of doubt that any illegal would be concerned about breaking any law that banned money being sent home.
