Yes, I bought my ring at http://www.bluenile.com. If you live out of the Washington state area you won't have to pay tax. My wife loves it. I got a great deal for a three stone round diamonds with a platinum setting. The diamonds were 1, .31, .31 carrots and it cost about $6000. You choose the exact diamonds yourself. Another good sight is http://www.mondera.com. If you buy from mondera be sure to look up some coupon codes! They have good deals, but they didn't have the exact setting I wanted.

I highly recommend you read this web sight first:

Yes, my husband did. From Diamond.com and it is a beautiful ring. I get stopped by complete strangers who compliment me. They always assume its larger (more carats) and more expensive than it actually is.

Definitely stay away from a mall jeweler. You will get bad quality for a lot of money. A reputable jeweler can give you a great ring but you will pay for it. Check out internet sites.

Try www.pricescope.com. That site will teach you all about diamonds - I learned a lot. They also give you a list of reputable online dealers.

Trust me, it's worth checking out!

No, no, no, no, you don't buy real jewelry online or in a store with the word mart in the name. Go to a reputable jeweler, get recommendations. If you are anywhere near Philadelphia, I recommend Mary at the Golden Nugget on 8th Street. Tiffany and Cartier are always a good place and they'll work within your budget.

Yes, online purchasing takes more work but will save you money over retail mall stores. Research and get as much info as you can and you should be fine. There's a great site with consumer reviews and opinions - take a look in the forums.
