I was bitten by a dog when I was bout 12 yrs old. The dog was a German Shepherd Mix and was owned by these friends of my parents. The man was military police and he had trained this dog like you would a police dog,, except this dog would not listen to instructions very good. Mom was in the car while I went up to their door to pick something up for my mom. The dog was inside the house and he busted thru the screen door (normally he was tied outside). He then Lunged for my face and I turned around and ran. If I hadn't of ran , he would have gotten my face or my throat. The dog then threw me down and he began to bite the back of my leg. It was a very deep wound.. The owner gave the command for the dog to release and go away but he would not listen. The owner had to pull the dog off of me. I was like the 4th person he bit in several months (including the owners wife)
I am not sure what happened to that dog.
It took a long time for it to heal and I have a scar now. That happened over 20 years ago,, and I still like dogs. Even after that I had 2 German Shepherds of my own. The breed is not bad,,, it was the owner who did not train his dog properly.

I was bitten by a German Sheppard....on Friday the 13th!! Of all days!!! I was doing door to door sales for a sports fundraiser and when I went to this house on my street, their dog was not tied and it jumped on me. I ran out into the road (big mistake) so it chased after me and grabbed my arm. Luckily the owners were right there and got the dog away.
the owners actually called my parents and asked if they wanted the dog put down for attacking me. My parents said no but that if they ever so the dog off its leash/rope again that they would call the authorities. For quite a while I was terrifed to walk past the house.
I love dogs though and have been in the pet industry for years now.

I was bitten by a German Shepherd when I was about 10. Had seen roaming the streets near school for a few days, just biked really fast past it. Then one day I saw it on the far side of the park while we were out there for school Physical Ed, it seemed at bit crazy, running around chasing imaginery things but it came right over straight for me, bit me on the wrist then ran away again. My watch took the brunt of the bite and got pretty scratched up but I ws fine, just a bit wary of big dogs I don't know now

When I was six years old, a german shepherd came onto the school playground. It was my friend's dog, so I went over to pet him. Just as I started to pet him, a kid threw an ice ball and hit the dog. Next thing I knew, I was looking down the throat of a growling dog. He missed my carotid artery by 3/4 of an inch and I have a scar on the side of my face to this day from the attack.

Not counting my own dogs when the play get a little rough, just once. One of my neighbors had a wiener dog with a bad attitude that got me on the back of the leg one morning in my front yard.
When I was about 9 or 10 one of my classmates was attacked by a german shepard while walking home from school. As I recall, it was pretty serious. She had to have quite a few stitches in her face, neck, & arms.

I was bitten once by a German Sheppard that lived in my neighborhood. I was 8 years old and he knew me well since i always played with him. Unfortunately one day i must have done somethng that upset him and he bit my hand (leaving a hole in my palm; the skin healed with time but i have a scar to remind me of that incidence) :( Anyway, since his vaccination was up to date I only needed 3 injections in my belly. They were quite painful and I learnt a lesson that day. Make sure the dog is willing to be petted; however well you may know him. Since then I have now a German Sheppard dog myself. He is 6 years old and i have had him since he was 6 weeks old. I never acquired a phobia for dogs since i love them terribly. I just know that just like anyone else, they need to be respected too.

I was bitten by my old dog Cookie (it was a beagle) it was very very hyper and crazy if you play with her and a few times she bit my arm and left 2 scars on my arm both about 1 inch long :( I had to give her away cause i had to move and the house i was moving too wasnt fixed and we had no where to put her so we found her a good home with another beagle(male) and they seem great together (:

I've been bitten by a doberman and a cocker spaniel. I was simply running or playing, neither dog was mine, and the dogs bit me (different times). No big deal was made of it because it's what dogs do and the injuries were quite minor (although it didn't feel like it at the time).

yet another canines. The Pit Bull blend attacked him (I extremely could watch her, i have finally educated her to leave him on my own, took about per week to coach her that he's not a bite toy.) So he's defended himself and gave her a effective earing hollow, yet as well, no. He would not wrestle different dogs, he will snap and snarl for a 2d mutually with his brother Border Collie for a 2d at the same time as they "dissagree" yet they offer up very right away and that's over. effect: Of which one? all of them end with my canines having one puncture wound (If it became the Akita or the Pit blend) or perhaps 2, and the different has numerous, or none. each and each and every time..
