i'm a uk citizen and do not require a visa as a tourist to the usa. we will be filling for a fiance visa soon as he is returning to the states from england (in the us airforce). Is it ok for me to visit him in the states whilst its being processed as it can take up to 6 months and the longest i've been away from him since i known him is only about 2 weeks!!! I'll just be going over there for 2 weeks at a time once every month/2 months .. 6 months is an extremley long time to be apart.

If you were from a country that needs a Visa the answer would be no, but you you might be able to visit. Call the Immigration Hotline (USCIS) and ask, 1-800-375-5283 or check online.

No, unfortunatley you won't be able to visit once the paperwork is actually submitted and they have given him a receipt for your case...I know it seems like an eternity to wait 6 months but it might be sooner and even if that the wait will be worth it ,time will go by quickly. But he still can visit you, might want to discuss this with him. By the way there are websites that you can go and register with, many people are in your situation...they are a great support group and can answer many more questions you may have. Good luck!

No you can not. If a visa is in process to get you to the US legally no other visa can be applied for, especially a visitors visa. The USCIS might think your coming to the US for another reason. File your I129F and do the waiting, believe me its worth it. Then all hassles are removed and you can come and marry your US sweetheart. Keep in mind that once in the US you have to get married within 90 days, then you file for I765 work visa, I485 adjustment of status (green card) and I131 which allows you to visit your country while visas are in process. GOOD LUCK

I don't think you can visit until you actually have the visa in hand.
