First of all don't STOP eating.

This might not make sense to do but it will work....

Eat more frequently BUT in severly smaller portions and healthy. Like for instance, always eat breakfast. Try an apple or some oatmeal, 1% milk (regular or soy) or grapefruit juice (non of those higher sugared juices)

Have a snack, maybe another apple or some granola (natural grains and fiber)

Have a healthy (portioned control) lunch. A side salad and a piece of fruit or just something sensiblel

depending on your metabolism, have a mid day snack and then a sensible dinner.

Once your body gets used to the smaller portions your appetite will automatically follow. Then you will find that even when you want to eat larger portions you just won't be able to. And believe me it may be a little difficult at first but your capacity for food will change very quickly if you keep it up and you won't want to eat a lot.

You will notice too the moment you try to eat a larger portioned meal and your stomach is like"Ugghhhh... I'm stuffed."

And always drink PLENTY of water.

Good luck and GOD bless.

I like to drink herbal tea before a meal, as it's something I enjoy and it fills me up so I eat less during the meal.

Another trick a friend of mine does is to start the meal with something naturally sweet, like a piece of fruit. The sugar will make you feel full faster. Make sure it's natural sugar, though, not something like a candy bar. Too much processed sugar, also bad for dieting, will make you hungry sooner after your meal than if you hadn't had it.

Good luck! :)

Drink lots of water. I have also heard that if you brush your teeth when you get hungry, it gives you the sense that you just ate. I honestly haven't tried that last one yet but I do know that the water works. Trying eating six small meals (or snacks) a day instead of the normal breakfast, lunch and dinner routine. It keeps you feeling full for the day.

Exercise and a glass of water. Every time I felt hungry, I'd work out for until I felt tired, then drink a large glass of ice water. After working out I didn't feel hungry any more and the water stretched how long it'd last. Worked for me.

Stock up on peppermint hard-candies: peppermint is a natural appetite suppressant. No, it won't cure a rumbling tummy, but it may help when you've got a need to just chew on something, and keep you from snacking.

Eat an apple or other piece of fruit or vegetable before you sink into a meal. That will fill you up a bit without major calories. You will then eat less of your dinner.

eat salads or any fresh vegetables and drink water with lemon juice(very refreshing) and hot/cold tea - there are so many flavors. Try Meditteranean food if you are dieting - it's healthy and not always so heavy.

Drink plenty of water especially before you eat, sometimes it's just thirst. Eat soups as well, low sodium, low fat varieties. Chew mint gum as well, helps with sweet cravings.
