what do u think about religion?

pointless, or great thing to have? i am wiccan, and my fam is christain and the rest is jewish or has no religion. so i am openmineded, but what do u think.

For me, religion is a great thing to have. It gives me the structure and ways to worship my deities and develop a closer relationship with them. My religion allows me to meet with others of a like mind, to understand the world around me and my place in it, it gives me guidelines to live by, and provides inner peace and fulfillment. It works for me. YMMV

As Jesus defined "religion", it's a good thing - ministering to widows and orphans in their need. But, for the most part, religion is a man-made attempt to reach God. I prefer the Bible that tells of God reaching down to man.

I think it's a nice idea, having something to believe in and have faith in. But I also think it causes too much conflict. That's why I don't choose to be part of any organized religion. I'm an agnostic.

I think a person's relationship with GOD (or whomever he/she decides is the creator) is his/her own business. I dislike organized religions because of all the politics involved. It seems to be more about impressing each other, than it is about worshiping a deity.

I think to each their own! I don't think it is right for people to try and force their religious beliefs on others who don't share the same view point as them!
