depends on the age of your child, and what he or she prefers to eat and do...make it his/her special day...give choices within your budget...that way the child knows that the party really is theirs and not yours

My kids love Steak n Shake... but as you know, that restaurant generally just gives you a hat. To really have some fun, try TGIF...at least all the kids will get a balloon. If you're looking for games and such, McDonalds is a good alternative to Chuckee Cheese.

McDonalds, Burger King, any place with an enclosed play pen. I would say the zoo, but it is way too hot and you might risk some kids getting sun burned or dehydrated.
