im 14 and still go. but since i was 12, i took my little sisters. if you think your too old, find an excuse to keep going. i take them, then tell them " i took you so i should get some of that candy that you wouldnt have if not for me." thats the whole quote. i cant even get all the way through it anymore.

Really it depends on the person! I love halloween! It`s so much fun, and trick or treating is a huge part of it! I can understand her standpoint, but understand it may be a little childish. Maybe you should suggest to your friend about having a halloween party instead or dressing up and giving out candy @ her house.

After elementary school, you're too old. At 17 your friend should be going to halloween parties, not stealing candy from the kids. She should also be old enough to get a job to buy her own candy, and even better, give it out at the door.

13 is considered a teenager. Trick or treating is for KIDS. She needs to grow up, get a job, and buy candy. Im sure thats all she wants is candy.

I'm 33 and i still like to dress up and go with my kids... some people still give me candy and if they don't---no big deal! its fun all the same! i quit trick or treating when i was 18-21... until i had kids...i went at 17.... was a flasher with a trench coat and some great big boobs! was so fun! leave her alone she sounds like a fun person don't try to ruin it for her!

I think about 14 is a good age to stop. At 17, you can take the neighbor's kids, but shouldn't be going yourself.

13 is a good age. then after that you can hand out the treats. or you can take a little cousin or a neighbors kid trick or treating.

NEVER STOP!!!! ME and my girls got all dressed up last year but instead of asking for candy we sat outside every door and sang christmas carrolls!!!! haha it was a good strategie because they ended up giving us extra candy in the end (were 16 by the way)

youre never too old to have fun!!
but it starts to get creepy when you have an 18+ "kid" comming up to your door trick or treating. Go one more time, then find some more "adult-ish" parties to go to!

I would say 12 is pushing it, but 17 is too old.
