People don't see the connection: Intelligent design is simplicity. That is something so simple could be put in place and ultimately evole into the myriad of complex/intelligent species we have. The evolutionary process itself depicts the intelligence of the original designer.

you are absolutely spot on! Although folk have argued over ID v evolution regarding the origin of both a lens and and eyeball/retina, it is remarkable the absolute necessity of an ear. As you say a lot can go wrong with eyes, and glasses, being corrective lenses are the perfect solution. Only on people with ears. Someone pointed out that the nose is a required anatomical structure, but actually no, as you would see if you have watched a horse wearing glasses. Without a pair of ears, a bit of string would simply slip down the head along with the specs. Human beings have therefore not evolved ears, but have had them designed for them, otherwise we would have ears on the top of our heads and really look like jackasses.
Sir, you are a genius!
However that causes a problem, for if we prove the existance of god, as the great man Douglas Adams pointed out, then without faith he is nothing and proving that ears are a nifty spectacle shelf causes him to "poof" out of existance. Divine dilemma...

Intelligent design is evolution. Bear in mind that monkeys have ears
and eyes, and many of the non erectus animals have ears much
better than ours. A trained dog has an enormous sense of smell
and many wild animals have much better hearing, smelling senses
than the human being. Intelligent design is the evolution from
apes through homo erectus which finally resulted in what we are
today, eyes develloped more than nose and ear and, most of all
this resulted into logic thinking, or use of logic brain power even if our brain may be smaller than some of our ancestors, the apes!

That is not a good argument, but a display of low IQ. When something is complicated, some do not have the intelligence to understand it, and say god did it. The people born with the ability to think use science to explain it. The evolution of eyes, etc is found in the fossil record/common traits.

Very good point, long live ears! I have always been fasinated by toes, why have we got so many toes? we dont need them for anything they just get trod on frequently, and knocked about a lot, it's very difficult to cut the nails, they also make holes in my socks, they are just not needed!
Long live ears and down with toes!.
So if your going to start an ear fan club, could you also start an anti toe club?
I've got to get off this forum I'm cracking up HELP!!

good joke i like it
but the eye thing for christians who will read this... its not evolved from mere chance. there are studies being done... we dont even have the best eye sight availible in the kingdom so, we got screwed on the intelligent design.
eye sight was to keep primates from getting hosed by poisonous creatures that were small such as snakes by getting to us so that we could survive... then snakes developed camoflage a lot more in order to kill larger prey.
we could go on.

there is no good arguement for intelligent design, it is a flawed concept that is trying to bring back the teaching of creationism instead of Evolution in schools. Despite the fact that the majority of scientist find creationism (and Intelligent Design) a laughable concept.

The woodpecker is even better. There is NO way a woodpecker could have evolved to peck going through stages of development. He would have had to have been created instantainiously because of his internal structure. Look into this.

No, I don't think it is a good argument. If the ear wasn't there, people would just wrap a string around their head to keep glasses in place.
