stop worrying. if the scanner alerted you that it blocked a problem. then your system should be fine still. however it may stillbe in quarintine in your scanning program, so you need to run your scanning program and then go to quarantine and remove any and all entries from the system permenantly.

once done run a full systemwide scan of your entire system (NO EXCEPTIONS).
now remove permenantly all infections you can (set your scanner to clean wher it can and delete if uncleanable).
the best scanning suite i have found is from www.trendmicro.com pc-cillin internet security suite free trial. of the program. it picked up an infectiion that mcafee, norton, spybot, spywareblaster and a couple of other scanners failed to pick up.
admitedly it was just a remnant of the adult links adware, however the scanner was unable to remove it from my system, i've been unable to find out why.
you can always run the online scan free at trendmicro, mcafee or symantec. they offer the scans for free and will clean your system where possible if they can't automatically you can get manual removal instructions from there websites.

i should say that in my case it was a problem within the windows VISTA registry, a key under software named redemption** or to that effect.
since it has been installed though after a re-install of the operating system my system has reported as clean on each subsequent scan.

ok do a restart but first if u have a av disc insert and let vcomputer reboot off the disc it will be the emergancy virus program...it should start aftr u restart and it should give u options to how u want runit or not do it now if u have it...
