I got one of these for my daughter who wanted a "king sized" bed and had 2 twin beds in her room. I've seen them many places, but I know I ended up buying hers off of the JCPenney web site (I don't think it was in the regular catalog. I only found it on line). It wasn't particularly cheap (I believe in the $50.00 range), although a heck of a lot cheaper than a new bed--but don't forget you have to buy all of the bedding, too!

Bed Bath and Beyond has a large selection of foam pads and mattresses that work well. You need to get a King size mattress pad or foam pad to cover the whole bed made from two twin sized mattresses. Target and Kmart has them as well, but the selection is not as large and I didn't see any King size ones the last time I looked.
