British accents rock!

Well I don't know America has a lot of different accents. Southern/midwest/new york/boston. Then a lot of people have no accent at all in my opinion and sound normal but maybe they just sound like I do which is being born and raised in California. So I don't even think I have an accent. I do like British accents better than any American accents though.

That all depends on which accents in American language you are talking about in context. For example, a southern accent in the Carolina's, Tennessee, Kentucky are just adorable, but if you go to Alabama, Louisiana and Arkansas they just sound like poor hicks. The New York, Boston and generally the entire new England states region has an ugly accent.

If it is British, such as in London (let us go now) it is a beautiful accent. When comes down to the cockney (sp?) accent it is rather ugly.

It depends on the person and where they're from. British accents are hot, but a SoCal accent is hard to beat. If youre in England, go American and vice versa.

Depends what sort of 'British' you mean, do you mean English? Scottish? Welsh? Irish? Then, even when you have decided which countries language you prefer, say for instance you preferred the English language, would you prefer the Northern, Midland or Southern accent? You see, it's not that easy! I actually love the Dundee accent, it's very cool!

If you can hang on to your "British" accent, it works wonders in the US! People automatically think you are smarter, more polite, and friendlier.

In Britain, an American accent makes you seem "brasher" and more likely to be good at customer service and business in general!

Neither is really based in fact, but there you go!

British
I go with feelings, accents are like water to me,and British accent feels clearer as apposed to American accent (somehow butter-like).

If it's a Southern peanut farming drawl, then British all the way.
If it's a Southern California gangster/cholo slang , again the British come out ahead.
If it's a plain everyday common household suburbian type of English then the Americans have it hands down.

The American accent sounds clear but who can resist the sexy British accent?
