I do go to the gym already, so I said besides runnng because I already do the treadmill and some cardio workouts.

And btw, those who said sex, hate to disapoint you, but on average 30 minutes of sex burns about 7 calories...

You want the exercise to get your heart rate high (cardio) as well as the body temperature up. This is why running is so good for fat burning. Swimming is good, but the reason it's not as good as running is because the (cooler) water temperature doesn't allow the body temperature to rise as much as running.

So if you don't want to run, do something in the gym that gets the heart rate up and keep it there for a minimum of half an hour. Aerobics classes, riding the bike or running on the treadmill are all good. Mix it up, make sure you sweat and make sure you workout a minimum of three times a week.

First estimate your daily calorie needs for maintaining your current weight, take your present weight 115 and multiply by 13 = 1495. The number covers your metabolic needs for the day, factoring in a bit of light activity. So, you need about 1495 calories per day. To lose a pound a week, I must then create a calorie deficit of 500 calories a day (3,500 calories equals one pound). And do combo workouts - cardio like running, and weights to tone. And remember, as you lose fat, you will gain muscle, muscle is heavier than fat however it looks better than the fat.

By the way, how many calories you can cut from your diet depends a lot on how much you're eating right now. A big difference between cutting 500 calories if you're eating 1,500 calories a day than if you're eating 3,000 calories.

Cardio exercise. It doesn' have to be running. It can be walking, skating, dancing. Anything that gets your heart rate up. And do it for a minimum of 20 minutes at a time, otherwise it's a waste of time (20 min. is approx the amount of time you need to get to your target heart rate which is the optimum rate to burn fat.) To burn fat/lose weight cardio is the only way to go. Other workouts tone & build muscle, etc.

First you can't go by how much you weight but how lean you are. 115 and 5'5 seems very lean to me.

If you lift weighst you will never reach 105 since you will gain muscle weight, and muscle is heavier than fat.

Is like having a pound of Popcorn and a pound of Gold nuggets.
The pound of popcorn problably is larger in size since popcorn itself is lighter than Gold.

A pound of Gold nuggets is small but heavier.

That is the way fat ( popcorn) compares to muscle ( gold) in your body. A pound of fat in your body is larger in volume than a pound of muscle.

Circuit training for at least 45 minutes at medium intensity , 5 days a week. Weight lifting at least 3 days a week Cut fat and sugars from your diet and eat several times a day small portions full of fiber and protein.

By Circuit training I mean, run 2 miles in less than 20 minutes or average of 6.7 mph, do the elliptical for another 20 minutes at level 9 and the stepper or bicycle for 5 minutes...cool for another 5 minutes. If you only do cardio for 20 minutes or less you just waisted your time...Minimum caloric burn occurs the first 20 minutes...

BTW, you probably will end up loosing muscle weight instead of fat or water if you do not weight lift. Since you are under weight already and your body needs to burn something while working out to use as energy. If you choose to skip the weight lifting since is going to add MASS to your body therefore you will never reach 105, you will end up HURTING yourself at the end.

Here is what you need to do, if you are serious about losing weight and keeping it off. Eat 6 small meals a day about every 4 hours. Here what that will do for you, your metabolism will increase (i.e. Loose weight) and you will have more engry. If you go on a diet and eat less, your metabolism will slow down and store to fat. That is why diets dont work. Only the size of your fist, carbs (examples:baked potato, pasta, oatmeal, beans, corn, melon, apples, fat free yogurt, whole wheat breads)in one and protien (examples:chicken breast, swordfish, shrimp, turkey breast) in the other. You can also eat vegetables and salads with any meal, they dont have none or little fat). 30min cardo exercise every day. Any of these(examples: walking, jogging, swimming, running, biking, ect), Monday cardo, tues upper body (arms: curls, tricep extensions, pull ups, front press)(abdominals: leg pull crunch, leg raises), (chest: bench press, butterfly, pullover)(shoulders: front press, arm pullover, cross county skier machine)(back:seated row, lat pull downs, back extension)(YOU DONT HAVE TO DO IN ONE DAY, mix it up) wed cardo, thurs lower body (legs: leg pull, leg press, squats, lounges) fri cardo, sat upper. Sunday eat anything you want and dont exercising, you do this on sunday so your body doesnt go into starvation mode. YOU NEED TO TAKE SUNDAY OFF. If you stilck with this you will have a great body. also drink aleast 8oz of water daily! Stay away from Mcdonals, Wendys, ect because there is nothing good for you on the menu's even the salads are bad (beaon bits, cheeze, dressing, ect) Good Luck :)

You don't have any fat, given your height and weight. Stay the way you are.
What if you get down to 105 pounds and are not happy? Will you try to lose more? That's how women get trapped in the downward anorexic spiral.

There a video you can buy called "I Want That Body". You'll need 5 lb weights. It's awesome. You can find it on Amazon.com. Its in the "I Want That..." series. They have abs, butt and thighs etc. It's only 15 minutes, but you can choose the first workout (easier) or the second. Hope it helps!

30 minutes of cardio of your choice a day coupled with 3 days a week of weight training. Weight training won't bulk you up unless you over do it. It will make you tone and muscle will help automatically burn fat.

Go to your local Gym and walk on the elliptical machine. Walking burns more fat than running.
Trust me, I run cross country and track.
