They are not necessarily bad for you. Like every other food item, it all depends on how much you eat. Ramen noodles do have a good deal of fat, carbohydrates and salt, and not much else. You are getting nothing from eating them - they aren't a good source for any vitamin or mineral (except they do have a little bit of iron). Basically, empty calories.
I woudn't recommend eating them constantly - and I certainly wouldn't recommend them as a main part of your diet. If you want to enjoy them on occassion, go right ahead.

Health concerns of instant ramen
A typical packet of instant ramenInstant ramen has often been criticized for its potential health risks. Some of these claims are justified, while others could be made against any diet that contains too much of a particular food.
A single serving of instant ramen is high in carbohydrates and low in fiber, vitamins and minerals. Instant ramen is typically fried, which makes it high in saturated fat and/or trans fat. A popular college urban legend states that a student gave himself scurvy by living on nothing but ramen for an entire year. [1]
Ramen broth, especially that of instant ramen, contains monosodium glutamate (MSG) and a high amount of sodium, usually in excess of 60% of the U.S. Recommended Dietary Allowance. The noodles themselves contain little sodium, so one can avoid drinking the soup or use less of the seasoning package if a low-sodium diet is recommended for health reasons.
The most recent controversy surrounds dioxin and other hormone-like substances that could theoretically be extracted from the packaging and glues used to pack the instant noodles. As hot water is added, it was reasoned that harmful substances could seep into the soup. After a series of studies were conducted, this concern was found to be baseless. [citation needed]

It could be very bad to consume them two times per week. At so much, you must generally consume them as soon as a month. They include a ton of salt and further perservative to maintain the noodles difficult till you're competent to cook dinner them. There may be a ton of energy in them. They could be a little bit bigger for you if you happen to did not upload the flavoring packet and combined in a few recent greens once you cook dinner them. It could positioned slightly extra nutrients in them however they nonetheless don't seem to be high-quality for you. Try whatever fitter like complete grain pastas.

If you read the package contents...there are a lot of chemical additives, flavors and so on. There is not really that much healthy stuff inside. Low protein and so on. That being said...ramen is a quick, easy meal. I like them occasionaly and I am a health nut type person.

Ramen, like everything, is bad for you in exaggeration. If you eat nothing but ramen, the starch will cause you to gain weight and have some skin problems. If you eat it constantly, mix in veggies and fruits for snacks to balance out your diet.

They are not bad for you, nor are they good for you. make sure you eat healthier things too, but instead of using the powder stuff that comes in those lil packets with them, use chicken broth. the powder is filled with bad sodium. switching to chicken broth take away a TON of calories!

My mom yells at me when I eat them because they're 'really high in sodium'. Personally, of all the dietary things to be concerned about, sodium is right down there with water. I don't think they're very healthy (especially considering how far they've been shipped), but I don't let it stop me. Plus, cheap!

It has MSG (mono sodium glutemate). This stuff is really bad for your health. It makes you want to eat more and has unnoticable but adverse affects on your internal body.
