I have been on this bc since January and haven't had my period... my ob/gyn said it is ok, ultrasound shows healthy ovaries, so he said I should not worry! So I am just wondering if anyone else has had this happen to them!

I'm on the same thing right now, and have been for awhile. Sometimes stress and poor nutrition can cause you to not have your period, but it's also possible that your system hasn't adjusted to the pill yet. Of course if you've been on it since January, that seems sort of odd. I get irregular periods sometimes and I think it's because we have the Lo version of Ortho TriCyclen, so there might not be adequate levels of hormones in that particular pill to keep your cycle regular. You may need regular Ortho TriCyclen. Hope you get it figured out--I know it can be frustrating.

I was switched from Ortho TriCyclen to Ortho TriCyclen low and I started spotting all the time. I went two months like that and then just decided to stop taking it. I never had a problem with the normal Ortho TriCyclen in the 7+ years that I took it. I would ask your doctor to switch you to something else.

I was using those up until about 8 months ago they had some bad side effects for me. Mine was just the opposite of missed periods my period would last for up to 3 weeks a month on some months!I finally had to stop taking them altogether. Take care, I hope you will find a better BC method.

I was on the same pill, but mine was to regulate my menstrual cycle due to endometriosis. I stopped taking it because it wasnt working. If the doctor says everything is ok then dont worry or you can always go to another dr and get a second opionion.
