Here is what you need to do, if you are serious about losing weight and keeping it off. Eat 6 small meals a day about every 4 hours. Here what that will do for you, your metabolism will increase (i.e. Loose weight) and you will have more engry. If you go on a diet and eat less, your metabolism will slow down and store to fat. That is why diets dont work. Only the size of your fist, carbs (examples:baked potato, pasta, oatmeal, beans, corn, melon, apples, fat free yogurt, whole wheat breads)in one and protien (examples:chicken breast, swordfish, shrimp, turkey breast) in the other. You can also eat vegetables and salads with any meal, they dont have none or little fat). 30min cardo exercise every day. Any of these(examples: walking, jogging, swimming, running, biking, ect), Monday cardo, tues upper body (arms: curls, tricep extensions, pull ups, front press)(abdominals: leg pull crunch, leg raises), (chest: bench press, butterfly, pullover)(shoulders: front press, arm pullover, cross county skier machine)(back:seated row, lat pull downs, back extension)(YOU DONT HAVE TO DO IN ONE DAY, mix it up) wed cardo, thurs lower body (legs: leg pull, leg press, squats, lounges) fri cardo, sat upper. Sunday eat anything you want and dont exercising, you do this on sunday so your body doesnt go into starvation mode. YOU NEED TO TAKE SUNDAY OFF. If you stilck with this you will have a great body. also drink aleast 8oz of water daily! Stay away from Mcdonals, Wendys, ect because there is nothing good for you on the menu's even the salads are bad (beaon bits, cheeze, dressing, ect) Good Luck :)

I worked in a clinic including an hypnotherapist for a year. I was very reluctant to try hypnotherapy myself to lose weight, and didn't see many people get good results when actually going for consultations with her... But one day, she made a self-hypnotherapy CD (15 CAD) which she gave me, and suggested I try it. I listened to it every morning (often half asleep) for about two weeks. I didn't believe in it, just wanted to try - and lose weight. And to my surprise, it worked! It cut my cravings, and really helped me start. I then sold it to many people (I was working at the desk in the clinic) and they all said it was awesome and worked for them too! So if you're thinking about hypnotherapy, I suggest you try an hypnotherapy CD first (that would be cheaper). Experience showed me that it worked better than actual consultations - which can be very expensive. If you are interested in the actual CD I bought, let me know...
Hope this helps... Btw I lost 20+ pounds in the past 6 months.

I have heard of this and the person that had it done to them said it worked great, however it's more hypnosis to make you not hungry. I also heard that you don't need much sleep after hypnotism because you are in such a deep relaxed sleep you may not need more for days.

When I was a kid one of my aunts did that to lose weight. I have to say that it did work but it's just mind power. If she didn't want to lose weight..the hypnosis wouldn't have worked. She could have easily done the same thing by waking up every morning and thinking about her goals for the day. Its power of the mind, thats all.

Hypnosis is not a magic wand. The person really has to want to get rid of weight. But if they do then a qualified hypnotherapist can most definitely help them in their resolve.

Don't know about weight, but a lot of people have lost pounds (£££) going to hypnotists. Unless you are very receptive and suggestible they don't work!

A good hypnotherapist can help you 're-program' your brain to react differently about food. So, yes it can help, but you need to follow all the exercises they give you for it to work.
