You need to check with the indvidual airline about their maximum weight. I fly to Japan often and they have different rules on different airlines about what you can carry on board and what you can check and how heavy they can be. Below is a link to United Airlines and American Airlines. Other airlines have different rules. Below those links are links to other major airlines. You can check them and find the similar links for baggage. I am sorry this is not a simple answer, but there is no simple answer.

It depends on the aircraft, if you are on a small regional jet such at a Fairchild 328, you have up to 46 pounds but...you have enough room for a small lunchbox in the overhead. and a large lunchbox under the seat. The 2 airlines Ive worked for Have about 40-50 pound weight limit on carry-ons, but space is limited. If it is a small jet or prop try to sit in the back of the plane so you can board first to get overhead room. Dimentions vary. At the airport they will have what looks like a metal cage to see if your luggage will fit on the plane. The maximum you can take for example is A carry on peice of luggage, a briefcase or computer case and a purse.

You are allowed one carry on and one small personal item such as a purse, computer bag or brief case. Pillows, shopping bags and any other item will count as one piece. One item must fit in the overhead compartment while the other is to be stowed under the seat in front of you. The maximum weight for domestic US flights is 40lb and 45 linear inches which is about 22"x14"x9". Musical Instruments are no longer allowed as carry on items and must be checked. Flight attendants are no longer allowed to store items in their closet other than hanging garment bags, so oversized items are not allowed beyond security.
If you have more than 2 items including your purse, you must condense down before approaching the boarding door. The carry on piece rule is a FAA regulation which is upheld by airline policy. The airline incures a $10,000 fine if the FAA is auditing that flight for every person that the rule is not enforced.
Many passengers dont like to follow the rules and will fight with the gate agents, but we are just doing our jobs. Please adhear to the size, weight and piece count before boarding the aircraft and you will have a seamless trip.
Enjoy your flight!!

The smaller it is, the better for you. Trust me, you want to take two bags with you, either way they are not going to have a problem with it. One should have what you might dig for during the flight including board-pass and reading glasses, make up, chewing gum which is always good for your ears and the other one for your hair dryer/laptop/sweater/sunglasses and stuff you know you probably can put up on the storage compartment.
Be careful with wider than 14" bags, they don't fit too well up there
Oh, one more thing, wear sandals this will speed up getting through the security line for you and everyone else

The maximum size carry-on bag for most airlines is 45 linear inches (the total of the height, width, and depth of the bag).
You are allowed one carry one bag of the size stated above and one personal item (like brief case or purse)
That's it.

Hi - this usually depens on the airline you will use.
You need to check the airline website and they will tell you.
It is dependant of the class you travel in and if it is a transatlantic flight.

So assuming you're vacationing interior the U. S., the respond is constrained. There might desire to be distinctive policies for shuttle outdoors the U. S..
