Ok... a real answer if you want one? If not, stop reading now.

If you are still here, there are 2 possible reasons... 1 being that the words "generation" does not always mean a 40 yr human generation, it also means "race" or "people" as when God told Isreal they were an adulterous generation.. He did not mean only for 40 years, He meant the people. Jesus will return before The Jews all pass away. Its easy to tell that in these verses Jesus was not speaking of a 40 yr generation.

2: Jesus said that not everyone there would taste death before He was seen coming in Glory, John saw this day when he was on the Island of Patmos and recieved the Revelation.

Well, here you go again. You have intentionally misled the people who read your question by taking a scripture out of context and leaving off the lead-up verses which define which generation is the ‘this generation’ Jesus is talking about, so I will set the record straight.

It is sad that most so-called ‘Christians’ are too ignorant to spot your deceptions, and I’m sure that you revel in that, but now you have the Word of God to deal with, so let’s see what it says, shall we?

In Matthew chapter 24, verse 14 (just a few verses before the one you quoted) it clearly states the following, “And this gospel of the kingdom shall be preached in all the world for a witness unto all nations; and then shall the end come.”

In 70 AD, most of the population of the earth had NOT been reached. In fact, even as recently as a few decades ago, there were tribes of people who were not even known by Christian civilization, perhaps there may still be pockets of humans in this world who have not yet heard the gospel.

Let’s go forward a few verses, “And then shall appear the sign of the Son of man in heaven: and then shall ALL the tribes of the earth mourn, and they shall see the Son of man coming in the clouds of heaven with power and great glory. And he shall send his angels with a great sound of a trumpet, and they shall gather together his elect from the four winds, from one end of heaven to the other. Now learn a parable of the fig tree; When his branch is yet tender, and putteth forth leaves, ye know that summer is nigh: So likewise ye, when ye shall see all these things, know that it is near, even at the doors. Verily I say unto you, This generation shall not pass, till all these things be fulfilled.”

Don’t think all the tribes of the earth have mourned for the sight of Jesus’ return yet. I do think an event that significant, witnessed by all the world, would probably have made it into someone’s history book. 'This generation' is clearly referring to the generation that is around when all of these signs take place. The Apostles understood this, for none of them ever stated that Jesus was going to return during their lifetimes, which they otherwise would have done with total confidence and authority had they interpreted Jesus' words as you have tried to do.

Nice try. Please, don’t try again.

Jesus said in Matthew chapter 24 that this generation that sees the fig tree AND all the other trees bloom...that THAT generation shall not pass away.

Well, we know that the fig tree finally "blossomed" in 1948 when Israel became a nation again.

But we have to wait a bit for the other half of the sentence to be fulfilled which is the "other trees" which is the Gentile Bride Trees to blossom...

They have yet to REALLY blossom like the Original Upper Room Blossoming...but when that happens..then, THIS generation that sees this take place will not go over another 40 years...when all will be done away with.

The word translated Generation in the New Testament is [genea] or [genos] which means a 'family or kin.' By implication it can also mean a period of a their family, or offspring. For example, someone saying something occurred in the 4th generation, would be telling us that it happened in the period of the family of the 4th born child. It is illustrating a particular family relationship to the Patriarch reference. Understanding this, we can see how God uses the word Generation in scripture to signify not only the family of God, but the family of the adversary, the devil. This is easily proven. Children of God, and children of Satan are two diverse generations. And the way the Generation of evil is applied in scripture, makes it synonymous with the children (or family) of the Devil. It does not refer to an immediate family group only, but all in that families' patriarchal relationship throughout time. Just as the Children of God refer to the whole family of God, which is a chosen generation throughout time, and not just people living at the time in which it was spoken.

attempt to be extremely saved (Jesus says "different than a guy be born returned, he can not see the dominion of god") to get to heaven. yet after the single thousand years of peace whilst devil is advantageous interior the lake of fire, God cleanses the earth of all sin and creates a clean Earth, the place all who have been born returned will stay with God, Jesus, and the Holy Spirt continuously. this is whilst the meek will inherit the earth. The beatitudes are advantages, or rewards.
