There are reasons to believe that it is not good for children to see quite a lot of violence on TV. It is suspected that they will use violence when they've grown up. You hear quite often that it's not good for children to see 'normal' sex (whatever that may be). Why? what happens? Will they also have normal sex when they grow up? Or are there even worse effects? Is there any proper study done on this subject like there has been on children and violence?

If kids see sex on TV, they might grow up to be like Europeans and think that sex is normal and nothing to be ashamed of.

I don't know if there is a study but when my son was 3 he saw two people kissing on TV and then he tried to french kiss me I was truly disturbed, every since then I don't let him watch anything like that, I know he was only imitating what he saw but I don't think it is a good idea. It wasn't like I put him in front of the TV to watch it either he just happened to be in the room when it was on so I guess i am saying I think it is a bad idea for young children to see SEX or in my sons case kissing on TV.

first of all to "erin7" u said sex should be something to be ashamed of that is not true that is riddiculous should couples be ahamed for being in love???
ok and to answer the question i think ur right sex isnt a bad thing i dont know why children cant know about that stuff theyre all gonna do it some day whether their parents like it or not

Oh, be careful....they might turn out "normal" themselves from watching such "normal" stuff on t.v. Better to espose them to filth and perversion. Then they too at least have a chance of growing up like most people.

well, for children to veiw violence and sex at such a young age it can give them ideas to try it
to do what they see
children are curious when they are young
they will do anything they see anyone else doing
