i saw a psot that said "everythign in the bible is comming true!" does anyone else realize that the only reason any "prophecy" comes true is because a bunch of crazy over-zealous people think about it so much that they start to bring the characteristics of the prophecy into their daily lives? they see something that resembles what was said and start acting like it's improtant and everything excalates from there..

Still looking for an answer, some examples of "pro-bible" instances are worth looking at, but as a whole.. most prophecies mentioned could be thought of with common sense, or could be linked back to crazy people. Every "kingdom" or empire, whatever you want to call it will eventualy fall. Natural disasters will happen, and people will kill each other over things they believe in... sad but true..

I agree. The most important thing I learned about "the Bible" was that most of it isn't a holy, ordained book like Christians like to posit. The New Testament was just a bunch of letters until the 2nd or 3rd century when the Canon decided which letters and gospels to put together and combine with Tanakah (Old Testament). So, in one of Timothy's books in the New Testament, when he says all scripture is ordained by God, he was referring to the Tanakh, not Paul's letters and the New Testament, because there was no New Testament. It didn't exist then. If you run into Christians who start quoting the Apostle Paul, ask them why they choose Paul's words over God's. It just doesn't add up.

The Bible foretold the overthrow of mighty Babylon nearly 200 years before it happened. In fact, the Medes, who became aligned with the Persians, were named as the conquerors. And although Cyrus, the Persian king, had not even been born as yet, the Bible foretold that he would be prominent in the conquest. It said that Babylon's protecting waters, the river Euphrates, "must be dried up," and that "the gates [of Babylon] will not be shut."—Jeremiah 50:38; Isaiah 13:17-19; 44:27-45:1.

These specific details were fulfilled, as the historian Herodotus reported. Further, the Bible foretold that Babylon would eventually become uninhabited ruins. And that is just what happened. Today Babylon is a desolate heap of mounds. (Isaiah 13:20-22; Jeremiah 51:37, 41-43) And the Bible is full of other prophecies that have had dramatic fulfillment.

Good explanation but not correct. How can you say this when the Jewish people was scattered throughout the nations but an nation was established for the Jewish people. I do not believe for one moment the people of the UN in 1945 was over zealous people.http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/1947_UN_Partition_Plan You really need to read some history. History is concluding that Bible prophecy is correct.

Prophecy means that they should know AHEAD of time. SO far not one so called prophecy has given anyone PRIOR notice. They fit the prophecy to events that happen in the past and then claim that it was "foretold".

Funny how they aren't supposed to deal with fortune tellers but use their book to do the very thing they are told not to do.

You really haven't studied this subject, have you?

Please take the time and study it. I would further recommend that you do not come back here ABOUT THIS until at least three months have elapsed; that's the minimum time you will need to do some indepth studies on Bible prophecies.

The body moves where the mind wants it to.

And so if enough people choose to see the signs they will.

Kind of like comparing a soda can to a dvd cover...yea nothing in common right? Keep looking...keep looking...ok they both hold something there we go a simulatiry!

You see where I'm going with that.

BINGO!! You hit it right on the head. Hell, the gospels were written long after christ died and were twisted to make it look like jesus was the messiah that Daniel wrote about, when he was writing for someone who would free them from their CURRENT bondage in Babylon. He wanted to give them something to hope for. And the ten commandments? PLEASE. Moses was a lawyer in the egyptian court, were supposed to believe a freaking LAWYER???. and why was the "hebrew god yawheh" living on a mountain in EGYPT?? Mt. Sinai is there!! Moses knew DAMN well where he was taking the jews and what he was doing.

I am in florida and i can make prophecy that this year and year after this year we will have huricane.
I can tell you that in 3400 years earth won't have enough oil.
I can tell you that ppl still be dying in 100 years from now.
I can make you more intelegent prophecies than any of those uneducated dummies.
But than again... who cares. We need religious dummies, its easier to control them and manipulate.
Why would you want to deal with smart ppl.
IU would say let every1 be a Christian. We need to control one idiot and not millions of them.
