Now that a lot of the holier than thou's have spoken...Penn is a bad state to get popped in. All states have pretty strict laws regarding DUI's these days and PA in one of the worst.
North Carolina has a program called "Booze it and lose it". It's one of the toughest, if not the toughest, in the US.

For some real fun try getting bagged overseas...like in Japan. Over there..you'll just about be an indentured servant to the family of the party you killed or injured. I'm speaking figuratively..but they put such a financial whack on you..you might as well. be. I'm talking like 50% of your pay for the rest of your life.

You pal can continually charm see you later as there's a criminal foundation for such an charm. often an charm is barely allowed if there changed into an mistakes interior the unique trial. If the choose made a mistake that would want to have affected the decision then it fairly is the grounds for charm. it is been made regulation that you may refuse the blood try, however it has also been made into regulation that you may not refuse the breath try. in case you do then you really are interior the eyes of the regulation inebriated, because there is not any different reason to refuse to take the try. by using that act by myself your pal admitted that he changed into using inebriated so there aren't any grounds for charm. the purely position that your pal might want to charm might want to be interior of a similar jurisdiction the position the trial changed into held. meaning he has to pass to a similar state, and a similar county. using inebriated is a legal, meaning it incorporates a similar charges and the sentence is venerated in all 50 states. subsequently you pal cannotchronic for 6 months no rely the position he lives interior the U. S.. His record might want to no longer be on the community police's community, yet when a federal verify is made then that arrest will arise and he can do a touch penal complicated time. in case your pal does some thing that places him in penal complicated over evening then that verify will be made and he will be in deep difficulty. there are techniques to decrease or replace the sentence. they start up jointly with your pal creating an organization dedication to end ingesting. transforming into a member of AA is discover out a thanks to attempt this. Then there are breathalyzers which could be blanketed interior the ignition of your pal's motor vehicle. He heavily isn't waiting to start up the motor vehicle without taking and passing a breath try. those compromises can must be made with the choose that utilized the 6-month suspension. otherwise your pal has to serve the sentence and if he drives for the period of that element then he has dedicated a legal and could be despatched to penal complicated. it truly is attainable to get that penal complicated sentence appealed, or to be positioned on parole, yet your pal can assume to face a minimum of one twelve months without using his motor vehicle.

I think that worse state would defiantely be Washington! I heard that someone got a DUI and had their licence revoked for a year! no curfew, but when they got their licence back they had to breath into this little divice that wouldn't let them start the car unless they were 100% sober. I heard that they tried to start it after only having one drink and that the car wouldn't turn on. Also they took away their car for that one year!

DON'T DRIVE DRUNK!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Oh, my heart bleeds...you shoudn't have been drinkin' fool.

In Calfornia, you can pretty much bet that you're gonna have to cough up $10,000 in fines and other costs from a DUI, yet idiots keep driving drunk. An all you gotta be is over 0.08.

That's nothing, had you been in NJ, you would have lost your license for at least 7 months, faced minimum $500 fine, $1000 surcharge a year for 3 years, mandatory drug/alcohol classes, and sometimes community service, not to mention your car insurance is going to go through the roof.

Merrick County, Nebraska. Be glad you're alive and not in prison for killing someone. Don't do the crime if ya can't do the time.

I'm glad you didn't accidentally kill someone while you were driving. Also, the tougher they come down on folks, maybe the more likely those folks won't repeat the crime.
