If they are leather shoes you can moisten a rag with rubbing alcohol then stuff it. I don't know, how, but it works.

Purchase a professional quality shoe stretcher from your local shoe repair shop. For ladies' shoes, the stretchers go by shoe size and are designed for both low heel and high heel shoes, with bunion attachments.
Get a bottle of liquid shoe stretch to spray on your shoes while using the wooden shoe stretcher. If your shoes are leather, you'll have greater success.
Consider taking the shoes to a professional shoe repair shop. They often use a stretching machine to apply specific pressure and heat precisely where the shoe hurts ' including length, toe raise, instep stretching and so on. On occasion, they'll speed up the process with a leather softening agent.
Purchase shoes at the end of the day, or after work or playing sports, for best fit.
Measure both feet, as no two feet are the same size. Purchase shoes for the larger foot.
Walk around the store to ensure a comfortable fit before buying, and always try on shoes with the socks or hosiery with which you will wear them.
OR TRY THIS:
Pack them out, tight as you can, with wet newspaper. This not only stretches them, but widens them as well. It takes a few day's, but worth it in the end.

Take a plastic bag, put it in your shoe, and fill it with water. Put it all in the freezer until the water turns to ice. The next day, take it out and let the ice melt so you can take the bag out of the shoe, and VOILA! Seriously, it works.
Also, if it's a leather shoe, take a cotton ball and use rubbing alcohol on the INSIDE of the shoe..... it will make for a better fit.
(Wow, I know more useless information than I know what to do with.....lol)

Get your socks wet and walk around your house for a while. then take them off and let them dry very well, so you don't get a smell
if you do this about 4-5 times the shoe will mold to your foot. Just don't get the sock too wet.

I use a show tree and place stones wherever I need to expand them. It takes a while, but it works nicely.

To loosen them up you should first just put them in a warm place like your car, oven, or in direct sunlight (DO NOT PUT IN MICROWAVE, NEGATIVE EFFECTS)...not that i would know. Then once they are very warm and easily bendable put them on and just wriggle your feet.
Heat expands molecules!! :D
