If it were not for the efforts of the Minutemen, we would not have the discussions we are now having. Congress would have passed the comprehensive bill giving our country away to the illegals, we would have to foot the bill for the foolishness of the extremest who think it is our duty to be the provider of everyone on the planet...
I hope that this continues to be a front page issue and that Americans will continue to join the Minutemen Coalition, send in their money for the building of the fence (which our irresponsible leaders have failed at ...MISERABLY...and continue bombarding Congress, Attorney General Offices and all others in our country to bring this flood of illegals to a complete STOP.
Further, we can toooooooo deport them all!

The minutemen...they do the best job around, I'm an undocumented immigrant, not an illegal because I'm not a Nazi like the rest of you who dehumanize people, but I am an undocumented immigrant, my father was shot by a minuteman, my sister drowned trying to save my father, and my me and my mother live together, and my brother we have no idea what happened to him, last I saw him he was running away with people after him. They killed most of my family, yet I think they're doing a good job! Yet these minutemen don't care how their job effects these undocumented immigrants. How would they feel if they were twelve and they were working in harsh conditions, they're slowly going to die at the rate the money is coming in, with corrupted military police coming around to collect money for some kind of protection from bums and scavangers, but the only place where they can make a better life is in America, the family you love swimming over with short breathes, your older sister helping your parents who can't swim well, you're a twelve year old who can swim but you don't have much strength, your father is shot your sister goes to save him but is pulled down trying to save him, your brother runs off unprotected and uneducated, for what? so you can have a better life and meanwhile you people are just sitting around watching TV throwing away books and education so you can call us "illegals" and dehumanize us as if we aren't human beings, as if we're animals? I bet everyone was the same as all of you when the Soviet Union held East Germany and the US held West Germany, families who had to escape the harsh conditions of their homeland to a better life, they were welcomed, yet the conditions in Mexico today aren't as harsh but as well neither is the president, but still none of you would understand what it would be like to be starving, almost none of you know what starvation is...

Minutemen ... doing the job the government won't. I feel like the government is trying to talk big but just making token efforts if anything to stop the illegals.
I would join the Minutemen if the border was a little closer to me. (I've asked them to move it, but no response so far.)

This is a tricky one. I like that the Minute Men point out that we have poor border security and that there is no enforcement of current immigration policy. I THINK that everyone (even immigrants I suspect) can agree that the current situation has gotten way out of control.
On the other hand, it's hard to blame the immigrants for seeking a better life. My family did it 100 years ago! I sort of feel like a 'hater' getting negative about illegal immigration.
As long as they stimulate conversation, put pressure on politicians to improve upon the status quo, and don't hurt anyone...I support them. I'm more frustrated about poor US enforcement and the Mexican government's many failures (economic, taxation, social infrastructure, etc etc) as the causes of this problem rather than the immigrants desire for a better life.

First off, it's Minutemen, not minutement, get it right if your going to make a "intellectual comment".
Second off, anybody born in the U.S. is lucky to have everything we have. Think about what your life would be like if you were born into a country like mexico. You probably would be one of the people trying to get across the border.
So next time, think before you speak, especially about those "Minutement".

hard coco youre an idiot ....I happen to rally with the minutemen..they are people who care about our country and how these illegals affect our economy and just take up unnecessary space in our country...... they come here and get section 8 housing, welfare, wic, and some sell drugs and have all the benefits i just named that our country gives to them...while they sell drugs and drive escalades......Minutemen rule!!!

I praise their basic efforts, but much of the rhetoric has been racist and bigoted. In any event, this is a job that should have been done by the government, but I'm glad they finally brought the issue to a head.
