The scent of blood is attractive to carnivores, including our furry friends. While it would be difficult to stop this behaviour (but not impossible), it's probably easier to dispose of them in a way that masks the odour. Try something like Glad Kitchen Catchers, which seem to have some kind of odour-blocking coating on them, or if that doesn't work, maybe a Diaper Genie to hide the scent? Good luck!

It's the blood. Haven't you ever seen a dog roll around on a dead animal? You're going to have to keep your bathroom door closed while you are having your period and immediately dispose of the pads in a container the dog can't get into.

I had a dog who loved to eat tissue, but only after I blew my nose in it. I had to put all my snotty tissues in the toilet. Because that won't work for your pads, put your can under your sink in the bathroom, or put muliple plastic grocierey bags in your trashcan and everytime you change your pad, throw out the bag.
