This war will swell Hezbollah's ranks, just like the war in Iraq helped to establish new al Qaeda cells in over 40 countries (under Musawi), not to mention establishing the group as a major force in Iraq itself.
You don't lose your home or family or the city in which you were born to a bomb with "Israel" written on it and turn againts the people fighting Israel. Think what Americans would do under similar circumstances -- Pick up a gun and join the fight (and if you wouldn't do the same, then you're a yellow bellied coward). America and Israel aren't the only states with patriotic citizens. This war is just ensuring the enmity survives into the next generation.

I don't think there's any way to effectively end a terrorist organization. As long as there is an incentive for unrest there will be people who rise up and fight. A war might disable Hezbollah, but it will not finish it.

Not a chance. Any kind of organization will never dissapear through violance or intimidation. They must realize that there is something better, then they will change. You can't make them change.
