Seriously. What if he decided to come back as a black man from Chicago? Or maybe a Nicaraguan woman? Or what if he had sold used cars in California before he began his ministry (After all, Christ was a carpenter, a decidedly middle class profession)? What if his teachings didn't neatly fit into your traditional religious views?

I'm not being facetious. How would you know?

Let's assume, by the way, that Gabriel's Trumpet doesn't sound. He just comes to earth to start his ministry again.

You would know Him if you was of like Spirit. You follow His teachings in the New Testament and there would be no mistake. You are to know the mind of Christ and the only way to do this is by reading His Word and through prayer. The wisdom to know and the knowledge to understand, these are the two I pray for continually.

Jesus said when he comes back it will be like lightning from one end of the sky to the other.

There will be no mistaking it - when Jesus returns, every single person on earth will know for certain.

So if someone tells you that they are Jesus, and you doubt it, you are right. When Jesus returns, there will be no room for doubt.

"At that time if anyone says to you, 'Look, here is the Christ!' or, 'There he is!' do not believe it. For false Christs and false prophets will appear and perform great signs and miracles to deceive even the elect—if that were possible. See, I have told you ahead of time.

"So if anyone tells you, 'There he is, out in the desert,' do not go out; or, 'Here he is, in the inner rooms,' do not believe it. For as lightning that comes from the east is visible even in the west, so will be the coming of the Son of Man."
- Jesus in Matthew 24

What if Christ came back as an agnosticist instead of as a Christian? What if Christ came back to tell us that everything that humanity has believed for thousands of years is, while not wrong, not what we are to believe for the next two thousand? What if Christ was an Economist, who believed in systems, but not in people? What if Christ ate chicken fried rice?

What if Christ liked video games? Should humanity appease christ by making video games? I say yes.

It's a good guess that westerner Christians wouldn't have liked Jesus to look like one of Saddam's cousins:

But according to forensics specialists, the above is a good guess about Jesus's general appearance.

On the other hand there's also this image that bears more than a passing resemblance to Osama bin Laden:

(b) http://tinyurl.com/nr3wx

However, it's a semblance of the Turin shroud, supposedly the burial cloth of Jesus.

Christians prefer the original Jesus to have been an attractive white man with European facial features, and somewhat delicate in overall appearance. Anything else, I think, would be a great disappointment to many of them.

2 things:
1) Christ is coming back. There is no if.
2) When Christ returns, he is coming fir a different reason.. He is not coming back as a teacher like he came before. He is not going to be born. He is coming back to establish his kingdom on earth. You will know before you see him that he has returned.

Yes, there would be a sounding of the trumpets and the people dead in Christ will rise first, then the living. We will meet Jesus in the clounds.
