They do this out of ignorance and because they have been doing this for centuries. As with any meat market, not all animals being bred for human consumption are treated humanely. That is probably why I only eat chicken and fish nowadays. FYI: During the early 1900's there was a Phillipine village exhibition at the St. Louis World's Fair. Flyers actually stated that, to keep the native villagers happy, they were supplied daily with 14 dogs for consumption.

I love animals and am horrified to see what happens to the animals. Cows, fish and pigs are fine cus there are already so many in the world but dogs cats fish thats just wrong. Whenever i go fishing (catch and release) there is always a bull head ( a fish that for somereason is hated) on the shore i've seen live ones dying but its so hard to put them back in the water becus of thier stingers. I no ppl eat fish but the way these fish hav to die is cruel. PPL ARE SO CRUEL WAT HAS THIS WORLD BECOME.

I don't get it either. it just breaks my heart.
But at the same time, people rape children and kill babies. So I guess there are no moral values anymore.

OH NO!!!!! no one should do that to dogs!!!!!!! I love dogs sooooooooooooooo much!!!! ive had a dog since i was two!!!!!!! and i loooooooove animals!!!! it reallly breaks my heart :(
