no not true, you add the mp3 files you already have to itunes and then theyre transfered to the ipod video. very simple but the videos you have to convert into a specific format before adding to itunes, try downloading videora it works fine with me :

I have an iPod and you can put MP3's on it. What you may be thinking of is that you have to use Itunes to put songs ONTO the iPod.

the nano is smaller and, as you referred to, very attractive. it is likewise flash based, which will make it somewhat extra stable as there is no complicated rigidity to positioned on out (no shifting aspects). even with the undeniable fact that, merely as interior the older ipod mini, you pay so lots extra $ in line with gb; even however the video function isn't all that useful, you will spend much less time futzing inclusive of your library (instruction manual updates, and so on) with the better skill of the 30 gig. How massive is your library?... on account that extra 24 gig is ineffective in case you dont choose it. I even have 60gb video, yet i gotta inform you- the belief of "donning around your dvd library" and connecting it to a larger video show is crap, in many cases because of the fact the low res ipod video format sounds like crap while considered on a "conventional" length show screen. p.s there's a 6gb nano interior the works, if no longer already on the industry; it quite relies upon on what you prefer to do with it, and for the money i think of the 30gb video is a extra proper fee (even however larger and heavier).
