If you like black, buy black...they show dirt but then so do most dark colored cars...it's your money, get what you'll be happy with...

I had 3 black cars and every time i say to myself... its the last time! Finally I made it... no more black cars. I always bought cars in the showroom and black cars look so good there but after a year, already you have scratches and swirls marks, and water stains that are hard to get out. Plus you have the bugs. The paint gets hot and the bugs infront of the vehicule cook up on the finish. They are harder to get off and they leave a mark. If you are the kinda guy that washes his car fast, never looks at it from too close, its okay. But if you are a little bit maniac, you will never get it clean like you would like. black cars actually made me sad. I then bought silver cars. Had a acura for 4 years, when I sold it, the paint still looked brand new. And I have a 1986 silver corvette. People think I just got it repainted.

If you are not lazy and not afraid to clean/wash/wax your car, by all means buy black. I have 2 black cars and do not regret it at all. Nothing looks better than a clean black car.

I own a black car but don't regret owning it one bit. The combo of tan leather interior with black exterior is a great look. Looks more expensive than it really is. Yes, it get's hot, but sun shields in the back and front help a lot. I also got better at finding shady parking spaces. To me... the look of the car far makes up for the extra heat.

Black cars tend to show dirt and scratches quicker than lighter colored car. They also tend to become very hot inside even on an overcast day.I have a family member that used to buy a brand new Mercedes Benz every year and it was always black. When he retired he bought one again and said that it was his last.Every year since he has bought a new one and they are still black. If you prefer black go for it.And make sure you enjoy the car.

do you WANT a black car? Do you like the way black cars look?
The interior will get hotter if you leave it sitting in the sun than a white car would. Does that matter to you?
I don't understand why those people are saying you will regret it. it's just a color.

Black cars reqire a lot of maintenance. Otherwise they look dirty all the time. They also draw a lot of heat in the warmer months. But statistically, red is the worst color to buy. If you have an accident, red paint is the hardest to match up for repairs. Also, red is the most dangerous color of car. There are more red cars involved in accidents each year than any other color. Go figure!

I owned a black car and the sec I washed it and polished it, I saw tons a scratches. And it constantly became dirty. Black looks good 10 feet away, rains or at night because you cant see the scratches or dirt. But if you like black cars and dont care what people may think, go for it. But if you care what people think, look at cars with a lighter color because it harder to see the scratches.

If you listen to those people, then you certainly won't buy a black car. Look at the other aspects of the car. If all is well and you like the black one, get it.
