I have seen this go both ways. I believe that as a society we are not encourgaged to work through the pain and release it before we head out looking for a new relationship. What do we think is going to happen if we bottle in that pain? It is just going to cause damage in the next relationship.

It's not that we think that all men are the same, we just sometimes get afraid to trust that they are not. Women give the next guy a hard time because they are afraid to let the next guy in for fear that she will be hurt just like the first one did.

Jerks ruin it for the sweet guys. Once a woman has been hurt & has lost trust, it's hard to gain it back. Most guys are the same, but I will say that there are lot of under dogs out there that need lovin' too.
We just don't like getting hurt thats all.

I wouldn't say that all guys are the same, however I would like to believe that the next one will always be better than the last. I am a "the glass is half full" type of person.

Guys do the same thing with women, one cheats on them and they are suspicious of all the rest, thats human nature, you learn what you live and when bad things are what you live that is what you believe is reality. Everyone does it, so please don't just apply this characteristic to women. Hec, this even applies to dogs! One person hits them and they expect it from everyone. Now, giving someone a hard time is the wrong way to deal with it, but thats a different question.

It's hard not to react negatively when you're treated the way someone else treated you, or you even see a glimmer of that. My husband is 180 degrees from my first husband, but whenever he wants to spend a little money, I get nervous, because in my first marriage we were very poor but he wanted to spend every dime we got frivolously. One time we only had $20.00, utility bills were overdue, we were very low on food, and my ex wanted to spend $12.00 on a new book. Now if a bill doesn't get paid on time, or if he wants to go out when things are a little tight, I have flashbacks and get very insecure.

Because most guys are all the same.I'm not saying that all guys are the same.just that some guys are the same as every other guy out there. And it takes a while for us women to find the right guy.that will treat us like we should be treated.I mean would you like to date a woman after woman who treted you like crap.I don't think so.so that why us women think a lot of guys are all the same.

I think they because they did not fully heal before they get into another relationship. and when that happens they don't give the next relationship chance to grow they just expect the worse or the same behavior from that person.and i always tell people if you were hurt in a relationship take time off to heal before getting in another one.

Responding to the first poster, i'll bring up a related question - if they really believe all guys are the same, why do they keep moving on to another guy?
Dont even try to understand women because it's impossible lol
