Yes. Anytime I have invested my time and heart in a relationship it hurts when it falls apart. I always wonder if I could have done something different. The emotions usually go like this: 1. shock 2. anger 3. sadness 4. jealousy (if there is a new man) 5. anger again 6.) then a combo hit of all of them the dangerous sad jealous anger (where we usually screw up big time) and finally a phone call to see if there is any chance.

I'm not sure "credit" is the term I'd use but yeah we think a lot of the same things. Probably not so much "If I'd have just done . . . . things would have been OK" though. Seems to me women place the blame internally more than guys and that's too bad. Read somewhere that it's actually tougher on guys.

Yes, women "probably" give men way too much credit. Deep down, most men just are not that deep. I would like to say "we", but I will just speak for myself. I am complex but simple. I just ended a 3 year relationship and I feel horrible...did I do the wrong thing...did I cause her pain. Very uncomfortable emotions! Not to mention the abject paranoia...is there really someone out there for me??? I never cease to be amazed at the depth of most women's emotions. God Bless the Feminine Mystique...and you too!

Usually, yes, MsNic, you do give them too much credit. Many men are selfish, single-minded lunkheads. But there are guys out here that know that crying is good for the soul, and, yes, we do think the same thing.

I actuality it all depends on the guy and the situation he came from, it would be the same for you, if it was someone who we cared about we may think that but if we desperately want out nope, lets keep moving.

Yes we do, everyone does unless the relationship was a total mess and only one person wanted to be in it.

Well, I know I sure would. I haven't been through a breakup, but I know that if I ever had to, then yes, most definitely.

Usually, yes - if you're like me, we don't usually show our feelings, especially to one another though.
