It's a fact that the economy has strongly rebounded since 2001. Look at the facts Bush just released. MORE taxes revenue has been collected because of the bush's tax cuts. This country is doing as well as ever. There is NO economic crisis related to illegal immigration. Just the facts.

Hundreds of thousands of jobs have been created in the past 3 years. Look up the statistics.

You're absolutely right. People always seem to miss the many positives that illegal immigrants bring to the country. The situation is not as cut and dry as people like to make it, and the most rational approach to illegal immigration is that the positives and negatives ultimately balance eachother out. There is no single, credible study on illegal immigration that shows they are either good or bad for the country, and any study that does purposely leaves out one or more aspects to prove their own belief. I'm not the biggest Bush supporter out there, but his job with the economy, and his plans for immigration reform (especially if they go through) are nothing short of incredible.

The corporations are making out like bandits on cheap labor but that doesn't mean it is good for the citizens of this country. Driving down wages from what used to be a living wage to something lower is not good for the citizens of this country. Crowding millions of illegal immigrant children and children of illegal immigrants into our schools and stretching the funds we pay at the local level to educate our own children is not good for the citizens of this country.

Requiring illegals not only to be allowed medical care like prenatal care and emergency care, but also to remain here once they have received it so that the process can repeat itself, while we pay the cost of that care is not good for the citizens of this country.

However, the concentrated 'benefit' of cheap labor for the big business employers means that they and their friends sit pretty with cheap labor. They get ever reduced costs, and we pay for the benefits of their work force in many types of coin. The most damaging payment is the loss of our children's upward mobility through quality education.

One of the most unpatriotic thinks to do, hire a illegal worker. The reason more taxes came in is because large multinational corporations made more money last year by giving away the same industrial might that other countries were intimidated by in WWII by outsourcing jobs.
