No one needs to know. I hate cats and I am scared of cats they freak me out. Most cats out and about are strays. Just be thankful you did not get a DWI.
It is not your fault that the dam cat was out and about. Why the f.u.c.k. would you put it in your trunk?
I would have threw it across the street. If they really loved the cat it would have not been outside at that hour. It had to have been dark out since know one saw you.
I say good job and once less more in the cat population. Some states are wanting to have open cat season to get rid off all the cats that are outside wondering.
You put this cat out its misery, it was not loved or wanted because it was outside. So you did the cat a favor
. If it has not spoiled yet I bet you get top dollar for it at the local Chinese place.
You have nothing to worry about it, so be cool and do not tell your neighbors a thing.
I would though hurry and get the cat on ice before taking to the Chinese resteraunt . Hell if you feel that guilty, the money the Chinese pay you for the dead cat you could donate some of the money to the human society.
Just do not by your neighbors another cat. With the rest of the money go have a few beers. Three cheers for the man who has cut down the cat population.. hip hip he ray.. hip hip he ray. hip hip he ray... Way to go... and good job.

You obviously feel bad about it on some level or you wouldn't be asking. Chances are they are dying to know what happened to it, so it's best that you tell them so they don't keep looking only to get dissappointed in the long run. You could offer to buy them another one or offer some sort of compensation and apologize profusely. I would leave out the drunk part and tell them that the cat had been under your car and you didn't even know it was hiding under there. That is pretty believable. Yes, they will be upset, but they're going to be upset either way so it's better for them to know what happened.

Why do you have it in your trunk? I hope you live in a cooler climate or it will start to stink if it hasn't already. The damage is done, you can't return the dead cat to your neighbors now with it all bloated and smelly. I would just find a bridge and throw it over. Next time if you drink, don't drive, or you will hit another cat. Have you learned your lesson?

Just because nobody saw does not mean you should not say anything. Remember, you are talking about someones beloved pet. What were you doing driving your car whilst drunk? Responsibility is obviously nothing to you. Do the decent thing, own up and tell them,at least that way they can do whatever they want with their cats remains.Show you care,at least that goes some way to show you are sorry, you can't be THAT callous, can you??

Once my friend's dog ended up killing her neighbor's dog because it got into her backyard (she had a rottweiler and her neighbor had a chihuahua). Well her neighbor was very attached to the dog and was offering a very large reward, but my friend felt bad because she knew that the dog was dead. Well, my friend was very young and just dropped the dog on the front porch wrapped in a towel because she did not want to get sued or anything.
I know its a bizarre story but its true.
So with you neighbors cat you should get it out of the trunk and they should know. They might want to bury it.

You're an a$$hole. Did you even think about what it will be like for a parent to go home to their 5-year-old and tell them the cat that they loved is dead? Have you ever known anyone who had a cat? What makes you think this is ok?
I would love to get drunk and run over YOU, repeatedly.

No, put the cat alongside the road and offer to dispose of it when they find it. There is no reason to cause emnity between yourself and your neighbors. I was driving in the mountains near my home and saw a hugh cat pacing in its driveway, then further down the road saw an equally large cat dead. I picked it up and returned it to where I saw the other cat. Death of pets should always remain in the I don't know who did it catagory, but at least give them closure.

First of all, you have got to be a freak for riding around with a dead cat in the trunk. Second, I can only hope that you do get busted for a dui someday with a large fine and an even larger cellmate named BUBBA.

first off how long has the cat been dead,if its been to long bury the ***** and buy them a new cat or try a animal shelter.its up to you to tell them use your own discression,if its the kids cat just let it seem like an act of kindness.say a little prayer for forgiveness and ask for the right thing to do.remember karma, what goes around comes around;relax.....think it out.in your prayer ask that his will be yours.do the right thing if someone hit your cat or whatever what would you want to know or not know how would you want it handeled.
or you can do like i did and quit drinking it helps

oh my god!! You have it in your trunk! Well if you do not want anyone to think bad of you take it out of your trunk!! And lay it in the persons yard that it belongs to. This way they now know their cat is dead, but you are no longer attached to it. And it will all be over.
