knowing from experience, it shouldn't. BUT BEWARE, some States (whom are the ones that issue SSI) may come back for repayment of the benefits you got from them, and remove that money from your Social Security Federal Disability check.
Call your local Social Security office 1-800-772-1213, and ask them, they will tell you yes or no without question.

Yes, they always try to cheat you. I received checks like normal, and then they stopped. Then SSI said they "overpaid" me. Now I get bills for $22, 000!! Even though I had no idea whatsoever that the checks were a mistake. They are bastards- get a real job and tell them to screw.

It shouldn't the two are separate. All you can do is wait and see.
